Killaloe is an open-air watersports playground with fun for all ages - cruising, wind-surfing, sailing, surfing, kayaking, fishing, canoeing and raft building. A myriad of other local activities include: golf, pitch & putt, bird-watching, clay-pigeon shooting, tennis, horse-riding, heritage walks, hill-walking and cycling. If however, a sporting holiday is not what you have in mind, there are plenty of cultural activities to pass your time.  Killaloe is the home of two summertime festivals: the MBNA Shannon International Music Festival with the Irish Chamber Orchestra attracts large crowds each July when the Irish Chamber Orchestra perform in St Mary's Cathedral Limerick whilst Féile Brian Boru, celebrates  the reign of Brian Boru as High King of Ireland. In nearby Scarriff, the is also the Annual Harvour Festival in July, and Feakle hosts its Music Festival on the August bank holiday weekend each year.


Lakeland House is the ideal venue for touring Counties Cork, Clare, Limerick, Tipperary and South Galway. All of the following regional attractions are within within easy day-tour reach. Some of the attractions include The Cliffs of Moher, Allwee Caves, Blue flag beaches, The Burren, The Rock of Cashel, Championship Golf Courses, Tipperary Crystal Design Centre, Bunratty Castle, Folk Park & Medieval Banquets, Birr Castle Demesne and Ireland's Historical Science Centre.
